Imagine a world of clutter free living. But what is a life lived clutter free? Does it mean that we don't accumulate stuff and baggage, whether it be in the form of material things, emotional things, or even jobs and tasks we have to do? What does a clutter free life mean to you and is this something you would like to explore further?
I think that all of us in some way or another long for clutter free living. Our stuff holds us back today. First let's look at our material things. How much stuff do we really need to be happy? How much stuff can we really take care of before it just starts to annoy us and hold us back? The more we have the more we have to take care, maintain, clean, and just take up space in our environment. Each of us really has to decide for ourselves how much we need and then maybe have a few extras to keep us happy. Everything else is clutter and takes up space in our homes and lives.
It is not just our things that hold us back. Clutter free living and a clutter free life also means we have time to enjoy life. What is taking up your time? It is important to work and volunteer and give back to society. It is also important to take care of ourselves and spend time with our families and the people that really matter to us. We don't hear it enough but the number one priority in your life should be you. If you don't take care of yourself you can't give to your family, your work, and your friends.
Clutter free living is all about letting go. We have to let go of our stuff, our bad habits, our emotional attachments, and our negative thinking. There are so many things that hold us back and keep us from being the best we can be. If you don't know where to start, the best place is with your stuff. It is easy to see how we can let that go. Once you work on clearing the materialistic clutter from your life some of the emotional clutter will begin to leave as well. It is all a process but we have to want it. Clutter free living is true happiness
