Living Clutter Free

Clutter clogs our lives. Clutter brings our energy down whether we know and admit it or not. Clutter also blocks our energy and prevents the good stuff from flowing our way. Living clutter free is something I strive for and continue to strive for. Clutter free living is not just about having less stuff, it is about having the space in your life to enjoy and to have room for new and better things and opportunities to come your way. Living clutter free means alot ore than purging the junk we have accumulated. It is enjoying our space and our environment.

We are taught in today's society that more is better. We are taught that we need stuff, but really it is not true. For some reason my 8 year old son loves stuff. He loves toys and he constantly wants more. However he also gets the concept of a need and a want. Just today we drove by a garden and waterfall shop near our house. I pass this place several times a week and I am sorry to see it go out of business. It has a beautiful waterfall that probably brings wonderful energy to our little community. They also sell garden statues at this shop and there is are some that I always admire. I want one but have never purchased one before, because really I don't need it. We passed by there today in the car and I commented on how I really want that Moen statue. My son asked if that was a need or a want. Yes, it is a want. I don't need it. He is reminding me that most of what we buy are wants.

If I truly live clutter free I will have more money to travel, to give to charity, and also spend on healthy foods. These are things that I also value. Clutter free living frees us up to enjoy experiences rather than stuff.  We are all so attached to stuff that it is hard to let go. Stuff brings us memories, but memories keep us in the past. I encourage you to live in the present and clean out the clutter in your life.
